Have us visit your school!

This spring we were busier than ever with school visits. It's a great way to introduce taiko to kids, and lets us present some cultural context about taiko history and Japanese culture.

Pittsburgh Taiko members perform on a grass lawn in front of a school building. Several rows of elementary school students in uniforms are seen from behind, seated on the lawn facing the performers. Photo by Faruk Ozel. Thanks to Faruk Ozel of Young Scholars of Greater Allegheny charter school for sharing his photos from our performance there in May! The kids were great, and the outdoor space was beautiful.

If you'd like to have us do a presentation at your school, fill out the form on our Bookings page. We can customize the presentation for time and age range, and work with you on tying it in to your other curriculum.
